What Makes Seventeen the Best K-Pop Group?

K-pop has a global impact and disseminates South Korean culture everywhere. One such group is Seventeen, a thirteen-piece boy band signed to the Pledis Entertainment label in South Korea. Since making its debut in 2015, the K-pop group Seventeen has become a global sensation. The "Be the Sun" international tour by Seventeen just ended, and many U.S. locations saw instant ticket sales.

What distinguishes the K-pop group Seventeen?

The synergy and endearing personalities of Seventeen's off-stage members are one thing that sets them apart from other K-pop groups. One of the larger boy bands, Seventeen, has had 13 members since its inception. Despite the vast number, each member has the opportunity to display their skills in a variety of off-stage television programs that have contributed to their international recognition in South Korea as well as beyond.

To introduce Seventeen to audiences who would not often watch or listen to K-pop, the band's lead vocalist, Boo Seungkwan, appears as a guest star on a number of South Korean variety shows. Other group members who are not South Korean, such as Xu Minghao and Wen Junhui, also participate in Chinese survival shows and guest appearances, helping to spread the name of their organization throughout Asia.

Additionally, the K-pop group has a variety of programs called "Going Seventeen." There are several episodes of the show, some of which have received over 5 million views. The YouTube documentary "Hit the Road," which accompanied the group's members on their "Ode to You" globe tour back in 2020, helped Seventeen grow in prominence.
