Some Of The Best Award-winning Itzy Albums
Itzy has had
a successful 2022. The girl group's previous mini-album, Checkmate, was
published in July. Its members are Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna. On
the Billboard 200 all-genre list, the album debuted at position No. 8.
Checkmate reached its highest point on the Top Current Album Sales and Top
Album Sales charts, respectively, at No. 2. "Sneakers," the album's
debut song, reached at No. 9 on the Hot Trending Songs chart. Powered by
Twitter, it was the number-one song in South Korea. Let’s look at the best Itzy albums in the post below.
Sneakers
Following the
No. 14-peaking "Loco" in October, Itzy's "Sneakers" debuted
at No. 9 on Hot Trending Songs, marking the group's first top 10 and second
entry. The song serves as the lead single from the group's new EP Checkmate,
which debuts at No. 1 on the World Albums chart and No. 8 on the Billboard 200,
giving Itzy their first top 10 single.
Boys Like You
The new pop song from Itzy albums is an anthem for female empowerment, like many of her K-pop tracks. With a combination of snarky, catchy rap rhymes ("Boy, going to diss me? "). Boy, I'm so mad/ Boy, going to miss me/ Boy, you're fired") and a hook is sung by Chaeryeong.
The new song
stays true to Itzy's style as heard in singles like "Sneakers" or "Wannabe,"
offering a pleasant listening experience overall but still delivering a punch
thanks to the group's feisty demeanor and witty ad-libs.
Cheshire
Itzy climbs
to No. 10 on Billboard's Top Album Sales chart with its most recent album,
Cheshire, which debuted at No. 4 earlier this year (on the list dated Dec. 17).
Checkmate: Mini Album and Crazy in Love: The First Album, both of which peaked
at No. 2 in 2022, were the act's prior top 10 entries (No. 1, 2021).
Cheshire's first-week sales total is made up entirely of CD sales (the album was not published on any other physical formats); digital download album sales make up just a tiny portion of the total. (The album was released on Wednesday, November 30, for streaming and digital retail, and on Friday, December 2, for CD. The album sold very few digital albums in the week ending December 1.)
Like many
K-pop albums, the four-song Cheshire EP was released on CD in collectible
deluxe packaging containing a standard set of goods and randomized aspects (a total
of 13, including variations only available at Barnes & Noble, Target, and
the group's official website) (such as photo cards and a poster).
It’z Me
Even after hearing "Not Shy" and "Guess Who," this is still their best work. The only song I don't like is the shrill closer "24 Hours." "Wannabe" is a great track that represents the zenith of Itzy's avant-garde concept up until the point of release.
"You
Make Me" is a mid-tempo EDM tune, "That's a No-No" features
marching band percussion; "Ting Ting Ting" is a pounding deep house
track; and "I Don't Wanna Dance" is a straightforward club track. The
pop-rock ballad "Nobody Like You" is in the style of Selena Gomez and
the Scene. I enjoy how unique each song is.
Conclusion
Itzy, a South
Korean female group, has released two single albums, six extended plays, one
compilation album, and one studio album. The group's debut single album, It'z
Different, was released on February 12, 2019, and featured the lead track
"Dalla Dalla," which reached number two on the Circle Digital Chart
and was the top-performing female group song of 2019 in South Korea. Itzy albums have achieved one of the
biggest Billboard debuts for a new K-pop act in recent memory.
